Our prime objective is to promote hockey as a sport for the young people of Stockport by providing opportunities for enjoyment and achievement of the sport. Through qualified coaches, we encourage children to:- </p> <p>• Learn new skills and hockey rules <br> • Use their skills playing competitive games <br> • Develop self-esteem, leadership and teamwork qualities </p> <p> <p><b>Vision<br> </b>Our vision is for Stockport to become a leader in developing superior field hockey players. </p> <p> <p><b>Mission<br> </b>To establish and develop a network of junior hockey initiatives within Stockport to enable us to offer coaching and competitive playing opportunities in safe and friendly environments throughout the borough. </p> <p> <p><b>Strategy<br> </b>Our Strategy for achieving our vision and mission includes:- <br> • Gaining unrivalled understanding of our potential players development needs. <br> • Recruiting, inspiring and developing outstanding coaches by encouraging initiative and supporting new ideas. <br> • Providing regular and enjoyable coaching sessions across Stockport increasing participation and achievement year on year. </p> </p> </p> <p>The Stockport Hockey Development Group is open to anyone who has an interest in hockey, particularly junior hockey and welcomes new members.  </p> <p><a href="sitemap.htm">Link to Site Map</a></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> </body>
