Elcocks create double trouble

The season opened with a cracker between Edgeley and Reddish Green . Edgeley immediately took charge, Lisa Dalby crossed for Hilary Clamp to secure a 1-0 lead. Reddish bombarded Edgeley with shots but nothing would go in.

In the second half Reddish's relentless gnawing paid off when Amy Nicklin's shot was saved only for Susan Elcock to equalize with the rebound . Then Reddish were awarded a penalty. Captain Helen Elcock, Susan's mum delighted her team when she scored with a sharp penalty flick. Within minutes Edgeley too were awarded a penalty. Debbie Mole stepped up and goalie Andrea Gecheffsky hit the shot away. Reddish won 2-1. Amy Nicklin and Nic Adamson were players of the match.
