Lancs Team Match Report - Reddish v Mossley Hill 2

The game opened with Mossley scoring in the first few minutes as the Reddish defence caught off guard as they settled into the new team formation. Reddish soon equalised as Jenny Worth sliced through Mossley defence to score a great individual goal. The goal shook Mossley a little but they soon regrouped and the score at half time was 2-1 to Mossley as they put a goal away in the final seconds of the half.

In the second half Reddish looked very strong, putting Mossley under a lot of pressure but were unable to convert the opportunities on goal. The next goal was scored by Mossley, Reddish keeper Sarah Wantling saved the first shot on goal but was unable to get on her feet due to a problem with her pads. The ball was fielded out by Reddish defence but brought back in by Mossley who took the chance to shoot at an open goal. Reddish heads stayed up and we kept up the pressure and Mossley had to work hard to score their forth goal. The final score was 4-1.
