Stockport Team Match Report -Heaton v Reddish

Reddish started a man down, and were soon down to nine when Helen Higgs left the pitch with a groin injury. Heaton took advantage of this and were 3 goals in front at half time as Foster claimed 2 goals and Caroline Tonge got one. Keeper, Andrea Getcheffsky did some fantastic saves and threw herself across the goal to deflect a Heaton ball with her stick.

In the second half, Reddish found reserve and clawed back 2 goals. Jenny Foster found this too close for comfort and went on to whack in a shot for Heaton from the top of the D. In the closing minutes Jackie Phieffer joined the Reddish side and brought with her an extra ingredient with Reddish scoring again and looking poised take a draw but Heaton held on to pip Reddish at the post for a 4-3 win.

A very exciting game.
