Reddish Green Hockey Christmas Party

The Reddish Club party was a great success, the food was excellent but there was a lot of hot debate as to whether the chilli or the hotpot was dish of the night. Unfortunately as Helen Higgs didn't wear her pink witches outfit, she did not win the title.

Many thanks to Andrea and Maggie for organising everything! Good fun had by all.

Lancs Team Match Report - Reddish v Mossley Hill

DATE FIXTURE RESULT
27/11/04 Reddish v Mossley Hill 3 - 6

This was always going to be a tough match playing the top of the league side and when Mossley Hill scored in the first 6 minutes it seemed that the it would be a normal Mossley match. However Reddish came out fighting with Becky Schofield, Jenny Worth and Jenny Plant scoring in quick succession. Mossley Hill now in real danger of loosing the match got quite upset and the play got more fraught. At half time the score was 3 - 1 to Reddish.

In the second half Mossley reorganised and their team captain must have got everybody on the right tracks because they came and and played some serious hockey. Reddish fought hard against the onslaught and held the score line for 20 minutes, but failed to convert any of their scoring chances.  A raised hit spooked the Reddish defence, the ball narrowly missing three Reddish players as they dodged out of the way. The defence now tired and shaken could not hold back the onslaught that Mossley launched in the last 15 mins and Mossley managed to take the lead and secure it. Final score was 3 - 6 to Mossley Hill.
