Lancs Team Match Report - Reddish v Northern 2

Reddish managed to rally a full strength team and it soon showed, with the first goal being scored within 40 seconds. Jenny Worth found the net after some excellent team play pivoted around Becky Schofield. Still on the offensive Reddish scored another 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. After that Northern consolidated and put Reddish under pressure, but despite a number of good chances failed to find the net. And the score was 3-0 at half time.

The second half saw Northern make a concerted effort to score, only to be denied by some excellent defence. Jenni Cottam, playing with Reddish A for the first time, soon settled in to her role as right back and put in an excellent performance. Despite a lot of possession by Northern, Reddish managed to find the net 3 more times, with the last goal being walked home by Jenny Worth. The final score was 6-0 to Reddish with Becky Schofield and Jenny Worth both scoring hat-tricks.
