Lancs Team Match Report - Reddish v Hilwood

Reddish and Hilwood both turned out very capable teams and seemed evenly matched in the first half.  There were chances at both ends but early in the half Becky Yeamans picked up a pass from Maggie Fiddler and scored the only goal of the first half.

The second half saw Reddish on the attack from the push back scoring two more goals through Becky Schofield and Leila Owen within 10 minutes.  Hilwood didn't give in and the final 20 minutes of the game saw the Reddish defence working very hard.  GoalKeeper, Sarah Wantling, denied Hilwood on several occasions, with some superb saves.

Stockport Team Match Report - Reddish v Edgeley

The game started well with the Reddish defence holding and the forwards making lots of attacking play but lacking the final touch needed to put the ball in the net. At half time the score was 2-0 to Edgeley.

The second half started well with Reddish managing to mostly hold back the Edgeley onslaught. However about 20 minutes in Maggie Fidler was injured and left the pitch. The team formation lost structure and Edgeley took advantage of this. Maggie came back on for the last ten minutes but the energy had gone out of the team and the game finished 7-0 to Edgeley.
