Stockport Team Match Report - Reddish v Forest

Reddish kept up their good run of success with a 7-0 win over Forest. Reddish dominated the game from early on. A strong pass from defender Maggie Fiddler found Bernadette Pheiffer unmarked who slipped the ball into the net. Ten minutes later good ball exchange saw Julie Gavin notch up another for Reddish. In the blink of an eye Julie Gavin scooped the ball from the circle and scored again. At this point Forest attacked with gusto and put Reddish under pressure. Towards the end of the first half Jenny Clayton was hit by a raised ball and ended up with a split lip. Despite this, Forest were still down 3-0 at half time. Reddish midfielder Jenny Worth played a crucial role in many of the goals in both halves. Forest showed little resistance and Reddish players Sam, Sophie and Natalie Sutherland went on to score. But it was Julie Gavin who scored a hat trick and made it 7-0 to Reddish.
