HADFIELD PIPPED TO THE POST

Hadfield opened immediately with some very strong attacking play down the wing by Chloe Edgerton and Jodie Wynne which was rewarded with an early goal by Gillian Spragg, scored within the first 5 minutes of play! This caused Reddish to wake up quickly and redouble their efforts. Reddish had a lot of possession and numerous chances on goal that were repeatedly held back by the Hadfield goalie Charlotte Dugdale. At the break Hadfield held the lead 1-0.

Following a rousing half time talk by Maggie, Reddish returned to the pitch in a fighting mood. In the first few minutes  of play Nat Sutherland converted a cross from Jenny Worth that slipped passed the keeper and found the net making it 1-1. A quick counter attack saw Hadfield get back into the lead, only to be denied their goal when through good will, the goal scorer owned up to the ball hitting her foot. The play remained intense and very fast paced with attacking action and determined defence from both sides. It wasn't until the closing five minutes of the match that Reddish managed to pounce back and claim the points when Charlie Simms scored the winning goal.
