REDDISH BEAT EDGELEY.

Injury hit Edgeley suffered another defeat on Saturday at the hands of Reddish. Reddish had bags of energy and quickly sprang into action to secure a 3-0 lead against a deflated Edgeley. There was worse to come for Edgeley when Captain Andrea Gilson broke a hand during the game and will now be out for several weeks.

In the second half Lisa Horbury left the pitch due to a reoccurring injury but Clare Paolo, player of the match, managed to pull one back for Edgeley from a well worked move. This gave Edgeley the impetus to attack but they did not have the strikers to finish off the job and Reddish quashed Edgeley with a final fourth goal. The game was abandoned at 4-1 due to more injuries when Clare Paolo received a shiner and two stitches.
