Despite very short notice, about thirty squash players met with Tony Wilson from the Board of Governors, Erin O’Brien from Stockport Sports Trust and John Gibson, England Squash’s North West Development Manager, to discuss how the players can use this opportunity to introduce and promote squash to young people, and to significantly progress the sport locally.
We voted to form a squash club committed
• To promote squash amongst young people in the local schools and community
• To offer coaching and competitive opportunities in England Squash
• To promote the club within the local community and England Squash
• To ensure a duty of care to all members of the club
• To provide all its services in a way that is fair to everyone
• To ensure that all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment
We nominated officers and arranged to send people on relevant training courses.
